Kate sings as 'Merry Christmas Baby' plays on the radio. She is stuffing the turkey for tonight's dinner. Christmas Eve is hours away and her boyfriend Zac is nowhere to be seen. He said he had a few errands to run before his family came over for dinner. Kate has cleaned the house and decorated it and now is making dinner. She has called Zac 's cell phone and there was no answer. "I'm gonna kill him. I have to do everything and he shops all day!" Kate say to herself as she puts the turkey in the oven.
 
Sighing, she makes herself a cup of hot chocolate and plunks down on the couch in front of the roaring fire. Glancing at a photo of her and Zac on the coffee table, she smiles. It was shortly after they met. "I can't believe how young we were!" she puts the picture back and sighs when she hears the door bell ring.
 
Opening the door she stands there in shock. "Uh, hi..." Kate says speechless as Santa stands at her doorstep "Can I help you? The mall is down the street." Kate says, confused as it's not everyday a Shopping Mall Santa shows up at your doorstep.
 
"Can I come in?" he asks.
 
"I don't know. My boyfriend will be here any minute and he will kill you if you touch me in any way. I'll call 911!" Kate says as she stares at the man. She lets him in anyway but grabs the cordless phone off the hall table and leads the way to the living room.
 
Santa sits on the couch and notices the picture of Kate and Zac. "Is this your boyfriend?" He says in a muffled voice from his beard. "Yeah that's Zac and I... Look I don't mean to be rude but did you want to ask me something?" Kate said standing in the middle of the room not wanting to sit next to Santa.
 
"Yes. Your boyfriend wanted me to tell you that he loves you more than anything in the world. And he wanted me to give you this." Santa said holding out a small velvet box and getting down on one knee. "OK... this is kinda creepy. I'm warning you buddy, I will call 911 on you!" Kate said taking the box and opening it.
 
Gasping, she drops the phone and it makes a loud thud on the floor. Inside the box is a diamond engement ring. "Oh my god..." Kate whispers as she looks at 'Santa' and starts screaming. "I knew you would like it." Santa says as he takes off his beard and hat.
 
"ZAC!" Kate screams as he has a sheepish grin on his face "Merry Christmas Baby... Will You Marry Me?" Zac says, still on one knee and in the Santa suit.
 
"Yes!" Kate screams as Zac slips the ring on her finger. This is one Christmas they will never forget as long as they live.
